199 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS During her high school years, Jaime Stiriz-Meyers worked on a career project in the field of cosmetology. Through her work on this project, she discovered her love and passion for cosmetology and desired to pursue it as a professional career. After much deliberation with her parents at the time, she decided to pursue cosmetology studies and obtain a general educational development (GED) diploma. In 2002, she graduated from cosmetology school and went on to experience the fruits of her blossoming career. Currently, Ms. Stiriz-Meyers serves as the owner of Stilla Salon Spa and Boutique in Sylvania, Ohio. Offering a myriad of cosmetology services at her salon, she is especially proud of overcoming several struggles and challenges that tested her patience and fortitude in the industry. Despite experiencing some setbacks, Ms. Stiriz-Meyers progressed forward until reaching the prominent position she is recognized in today. Among the many highlights of her career, she is especially gratified with teaching her two daughters about their ability to accomplish whatever to which they set their mind, particularly in the face of life’s trials and tribulations. In accounting for her success, Ms. Stiriz-Meyers credits the support and encouragement of her children, who have also inspired her to become a better individual and a better mother. Now drawing upon over 20 years of experience in the field of cosmetology, she has also served as an independent contractor and a real estate agent, having owned a real estate investment company alongside her husband. Likewise, Ms. Stiriz-Meyers’ oldest daughter is a board-certified makeup artist, and her youngest daughter is an attendant at the boutique. Notably, Ms. Stiriz-Meyers persisted with her business even at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although unemployed for five months, she persevered and found a location where she could run her business, thereby establishing Stilla Salon Spa and Boutique. To this end, “stilla” is a Swedish termmeaning “calm,” as Ms. Stiriz-Meyers desires to instill a sense of tranquility in all her clients.
