277 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Having accumulated nearly three decades of experience in the health care industry, Daniel W. Carey has built a fulfilling career at the Otis R. Bowen Center for Human Services. Originally joining the company in 1994, Mr. Carey became the senior vice president of healthcare quality in 2017. In this role, he oversees risk management and mitigation, accreditation management, process improvement, and corporate compliance and privacy. He is especially proud to have developed the company’s quality assurance program. In addition to his current position, Mr. Carey has also worked extensively as an instructor in social work andmental health. As part of his commitment to the field, he remains affiliated with the National Association of Health Care Quality. Well regarded for his dedication to civic advocacy as well, he is a former president of the board of directors of Kosciusko Community Senior Services. Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Carey pursued a formal education. Over the course of his collegiate studies, he received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Cedarville University in 1985, a Master of Social Work from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 1996, and, most recently, an MBA in health care management fromWestern Governors University in 2017. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Carey is also a certified professional in health care quality (CPHQ) and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Throughout his career, Mr. Carey has affirmed that the most human interactions and relationships start by simply treating others with dignity and respect, regardless of their differences. To wit, this positive mindset has played a significant role in his professional success. Furthermore, he attributes a great deal of his accomplishments to his willingness to continue learning and his dedicated work ethic. Looking toward the future, Mr. Carey aims to assist others looking to develop their skills in his industry, and he hopes to retire knowing there will be thoughtful individuals who can continue his work.
