Thomas Benson Jr. has gained more than five decades of experience in the funeral home business, dating back to 1967. In his current position as a funeral home assistant, his area of expertise resides in picking up the deceased, dressing and casketing them, as well as cremations. During the earlier stage of his career, for more than 30 years, Mr. Benson served as a laborer in the steel industry, working his way to the position quality assurance foreman before retiring from the steel industry and entering the field of mortuary services. Outside of his primary roles with the funeral home, Mr. Benson has been active as a scout leader with the Boys Scouts of America, as well as a district director of his local chapter of the Jaycees. Moreover, he is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Mr. Benson attributes much of his success to his dedication to putting forth his best effort in everything he does.
