Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy (formerly the Industrial College of Armed Forces) between 1999 and 2001 and as the chief engineer of the USS Virginia wardroom between 1986 and 1989. Before embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Janikowsky pursued his own formal education at the United States Naval Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1977. Afterward, he began serving with the United States Navy. Throughout his service, he commanded the 7th Company at the Academy and achieved the rank of captain before retiring in 2005. Mr. Janikowsky also continued his academic studies during this time at the National Defense University, where he received a Master of Science in strategic studies in 1999. Adjacent to his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Janikowsky has also dedicated himself to civic advocacy, volunteering with the Missions Committee, the Staff Care Committee and the Independent Presbyterian Church. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he has been recognized with several accolades throughout his career, including several Battle Effectiveness Awards and Golden Anchor Awards from the United States Navy. Mr. Janikowsky is especially proud to have upheld several leadership roles during his military service. To wit, he independently commanded Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf for two months, in addition to commanding the USS Princeton missile cruiser and acting as a defense commander for Operation Iraqi Freedom. His innate leadership skills naturally led him into a career as an educator. In the coming years, Mr. Janikowsky hopes to continue expanding Westminster Academy into a thriving institution. Having accrued over 35 years of experience, Ralph E. Janikowsky has cultivated a career as a proven leader and educator. Since 2016, he has served as the headmaster of Westminster Academy in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to his current appointment, he operated as the principal of Rockbridge Academy from RALPH E.
