MILDRED BATTLE Having accrued more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Mildred Battle is a proven leader in the field of education. Between 1988 and 2012, she served as a professor at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, during which time she taught students in chemistry. Prior to serving as a professor, she worked as a project chemist with the International Nickel Company. Dr. Battle retired in 2012 from teaching, having cultivated a career of academic excellence. Dr. Battle’s performance in the field was born of her own academic journey, having earned a master’s degree in chemistry and a PhD in chemistry, general science and education from Boston University. Adjacent to her primary vocation, she is also well regarded for her dedication to civic advocacy, having served with the International Biographical Association in several key roles. In light of her fulfilling career, Dr. Battle attributes much of her success to the love and support of her parents, who instilled in her a sense of confidence. Furthermore, she is thankful for the numerous opportunities she has had to learn from others and travel across the world. Leveraging more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Linda Bean is a proven leader in the field of education. Since 2018, she has served as the dean of the College of Education at Arkansas Tech University. She originally joined the university in 2000 as an associate professor of business until rising to the position of associate dean in 2015. Prior to joining Arkansas Tech University, Dr. Bean served as an assistant professor at Auburn University between 1996 and 1998 and the University of Central Arkansas between 1998 and 2000. Dr. Bean began cultivating her own education at Arkansas Tech University, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1973. She subsequently attended the University of Central Arkansas and received an MEd in 1986 before concluding her studies at Oklahoma State University and achieving an EdD in 1996. Having been honored with several accolades for her academic and professional accomplishments, she attributes much of her success to her dedicated work ethic and network of friends and colleagues. In the coming years, Dr. Bean hopes to spend more time with her family and find more opportunities to travel. DR. LINDA BEAN
