161 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING Bolstered by experience out in the field, Ashley J. Skoog is a rising expert in chemical engineering. Since 2019, she has operated as a lead staff engineer at SET Environmental Inc., where she handles comprehensive maintenance and decommission projects across varying industries (i.e., utilities – power and gas, water/wastewater treatment, manufacturing, petroleum and food industries) over various time spans. She collaborates with customers to develop and finalize each project’s plan and scope, subsequently working directly in the field with SET staff to implement the project parameters and measure outcomes. She collaborates throughout different divisions within SET to help on big or small projects. In 2019, Ms. Skoog earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in chemical engineering and chemistry from the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. She also holds relevant industry credentials, having completed the 40-hour HAZWOPER certification course, as well as the confined space entry and rescue training course administered by OSHA. Ms. Skoog accumulated additional training through working with the emergency and cylinder divisions within SET to develop quick critical thinking skills and aptitude for recognition of hazards. To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Ms. Skoog is a member of the Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Ms. Skoog credits her entrepreneurial skills and willingness to get the job done in all aspects of her life as foundation building blocks for her line of work. She uses her education to her advantage, where she can understand and design chemical lab experiments for a project and then convert the experiment to a large-scale field project as an engineer. Moreover, she is grateful for the family support she received when deciding to enter the STEM field. She is particularly proud to have initiated an engineering service group, and she continually works to assemble more engineers in the process. Looking toward the future, Ms. Skoog aims to advance professionally to become a successful manager and to realize the potential of the chemistry laboratory more fully at SET Environmental. ASHLEY J.
