185 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS deaf and blind individuals throughout the state of Mississippi by improving living conditions and offering social outings. Mr. Jarreau was inspired to found the company after meeting with the heads of numerous rehabilitation departments and agencies and recognizing the need for more tools and social opportunities for those with hearing disabilities and visual impairments. Prior to founding his own business, Mr. Jarreau operated extensively with a local telecommunications consulting practice for several years. Additionally, he worked with WorldCom for seven years and with MTEL (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure), as part of Pearson Education Inc., for one year. As part of his vocational journey, he also pursued a formal education at Mississippi State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1985. After beginning his career as an engineering consultant at DuPont, Mr. Jarreau subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration and began working as an entrepreneur. As part of his dedication to his professional endeavors, Mr. Jarreau remains active as a member of the board of advisors of the Mississippi Hearing-Vision Project. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he received national recognition from the Helen Keller National Center. In light of his fulfilling career, he attributes much of his success to his ability to identify the needs of others. Looking toward the future, Mr. Jarreau hopes to continue serving as the head of his company for many more years to come.
