Due to her breadth of knowledge, Ms. Cazas was a sought-after speaker by the World Trade Institute, University of Southern California, William & Mary School of Law, and the AAEI. She has been featured in the LA Business Journal, the Journal of Commerce and Los Angeles Times. Ms. Cazas earned an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, U.S. Treasury Department customs broker license, and MBA from Pace University. While her career was filled with groundbreaking achievements, Ms. Cazas takes the most satisfaction in the success of those she has mentored for professional growth. She attributes her success to continuing education, teaching opportunities and a relentless pursuit of improvement. Ms. Cazas is thriving in retirement as she enjoys family, friends, numerous hobbies and occasional mentoring. Leslie K. Browne Cazas was instrumental in the professional evolution of the U.S. international trade and customs industry by successfully demonstrating its strategic value and compliance risks. She worked with trade experts, associations and governments to establish the best practice of placing the function within corporate finance rather than as an ancillary function of transportation. Ms. Cazas worked to improve the fairness and efficiency of U.S. Customs processes through her two consecutive appointments to the U.S. Federal Advisory Committee to the Treasury Department on Customs Operations, the NAFTA and Reconciliation Advisory Committees, and the Customs Automotive Round Table. In recognition of her achievements, she was awarded the National Performance Review Award by former Vice President Al Gore and received Lifetime Achievement awards from the LA Chamber of Commerce and the American Association of Importers & Exporters (AAEI). In 2013, after 40 years as a corporate leader and international consultant, Ms. Cazas retired from her position as regional director of the Americas for the Renault-Nissan Alliance Customs & Trade Organization.
