Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Boyer pursued a formal education at The Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 1973 and a Master of Science in human development intervention and clinical psychology in 1982. He also completed coursework towards a PhD. In addition to his academic credentials, he also received a NACD/ISA Cyber Summit Certificate in 2016 and recognized as a Board Leadership Fellow. To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Boyer was recognized in the Black Enterprise Registry of Corporate Directors by Black Enterprise in 2019, and he was previously named Small Business Person of the Year. In light of his achievements, he is especially proud to have mentored many professionals in his field throughout his career. David Boyer Jr. is a proven leader in the fields of business management and security intelligence. Specializing in information technology and cyber security, he has served as the chief executive officer of GlobalWatch Technologies Inc., a complex systems solutions provider headquartered in Oakton, Virginia, since 2004. Adjacent to his role at GlobalWatch Technologies, he also served as the corporate director of WETA from 2001 to 2007. Prior to his current position, Mr. Boyer served in the same capacity at TROY Systems LLC from 1985 to 2001, and he was the corporate director of Franklin National Bank from 1994 to 2008. In his other career-related endeavors, Mr. Boyer has also worked extensively with the corporate board of directors of Truist since 2019 and the board of directors of the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development since 2009. He also honorably served in the United States Air Force for over a decade, achieving the rank of captain prior to his retirement.
