65 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT With several decades of professional experience to her credit, Carla Crane Osborne has recently begun cultivating a career of excellence as an author. Growing up in southern Idaho, she spent many years tending to her family’s farm, but in recent years, she has taken to working as a writer. In 2020, she published her first book, “Under the Barnyard Light,” which captured many of her childhood experiences for readers to enjoy. Ms. Osborne followed this initial publication with “Pony Express” in 2021 and “Alex the Wonder Lamb” in 2022. Adjacent to her creative endeavors, Ms. Osborne also serves as the owner of Gona’s Reading Ranch, where she regularly reads stories to children both online and in person. To this end, she has a natural proclivity for storytelling, and she loves sharing her stories with those around her. Ms. Osborne is well-regarded for her charitable spirit, regularly donating books to local schools and libraries, as well as actively encouraging children to pursue their dreams. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Osborne pursued a formal education at Brigham Young University-Idaho (formerly Ricks College), where she earned an Associate of Applied Science in 1980. She also maintains membership with the Independent Book Publishers Association. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Osborne was honored with the Benjamin Franklin Silver Award in 2020 for “Under the Barnyard Light.” In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Osborne largely attributes her success to remaining true to herself, as well as the love and support of her family, especially her mother and husband. She is especially proud to be able to share her stories through her literature, and she is grateful to see how they resonate with audiences.
