Additionally, Ms. Bashorun has served as the group managing director and chief executive officer of ZL Global Alliance Nig & Kunden Services Ltd. since 2012. Prior to her current roles, Ms. Bashorun operated as the vice president of Mastercard Worldwide between 2012 and 2013. She also served as the assistant general manager of Access Bank in Nigeria from 2010 to 2012. Ms. Bashorun originally began her career in 2007, working as the assistant general manager of Ecobank Nigeria PLC until 2009. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Bashorun pursued a formal education at Coventry University in Coventry, United Kingdom, where she earned an MBA in international business in 2006. Originally from Nigeria, she also holds an honorary doctorate in theology from the Christian Academy in Nigeria. As part of her dedication to her profession, Ms. Bashorun maintains membership with several special committees pertaining to public health and disease control. Well regarded for her professional accomplishments, Ms. Bashorun has been honored with numerous accolades, including an Eagle Award from Barclays Bank in 2006 and a Fellowship Award from the Institute of Commerce of Nigeria. Over the course of her career, she has largely attributed her success to her upbringing. To this end, her mother instilled in her many strong values, having served in the United States Air Force. In the near future, Ms. Bashorun hopes to continue focusing on recycling plastics in the United States. With 15 years of experience to her credit, Abiola Bashorun is a proven leader in environmental solutions. Since 2021, she has operated as the group chief executive officer of ZL Global Alliance LLC, one of Nigeria’s leading providers in waste management and environmental preservation.
