153 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING A certified industrial hygienist since 2021, William M. Ewing III is an accomplished specialist in the environmental energy industry. Since 2017, he has excelled as a corporate industrial hygienist, focused on industrial hygiene and safety, for Georgia Power, Southern Company in Atlanta. Earlier, he commenced his professional career as a research member for the sub-teams of Return to Play and Dual Task Assessment and the VIP Team for Concussion Connect between 2015 and 2017. He also spends his time with the IH Consulting Firm. To prepare for his career, Mr. Ewing pursued a formal education at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering, with a minor in material science engineering, in 2017, as well as a Master of Science in occupational health and safety in 2020. Earlier, he completed coursework at the University of Oxford in England in 2015 and was a head marine biology intern at the Georgia Aquarium/Lovett Partnership between 2012 and 2014. During this time, he also served as an industrial hygiene intern for Compass Environmental Inc., in Kennesaw, Georgia, from 2011 to 2016. Civically involved as well, Mr. Ewing was recognized as an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America in 2011. He has also lent his expertise with Georgia Power, Southern Company as a volunteer for various clothing drives, food drives, animal shelters and other neighborhood efforts. Likewise, he remains abreast of industry developments through affiliation with the American Industrial Hygiene Association, where he has served as the president of the Atlanta chapter since 2022. Earlier, he was past president, president-elect, director and student member. Moreover, Mr. Ewing has been the president of the Southern Company section of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association since 2022, having formerly been the president-elect. Mr. Ewing’s parents were both industrial hygienists themselves, and he was influenced to enter the field due to his parents’ inspiration. Among the many highlights of his career, he is especially proud to have received his certified industrial hygienist credential in 2021. WILLIAM M.
