209 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine FINANCE AND INSURANCE Ronald James Bales was inspired to enter the field of finance from a formative age, having recognized the significance of money from the age of 12. He received a Master of Business Administration from Oregon State University in 1974 and went on to become a certified public accountant. Between 1975 and 1988, Mr. Bales served as a certified public accountant for Onstott, Bales and Broehl, CPAs, P.C. Shortly thereafter, he became certified as a financial planner and commenced his own business. From 1988 until his retirement in 2007, he excelled as the owner of his eponymously named practice, where he specialized in providing financial guidance to his clients. Since 2010, Mr. Bales has dedicated his time fully to writing, having first authored the book “Eagle Creek: A Mystery Novel” in 2021. “Eagle Creek” tells the tale of an individual who attempts to solve the murder of his best friend’s fiancée and, although his involvement led to the criminal’s conviction, the crimes continued. Currently, Mr. Bales is in the process of writing his second book, “Consequences,” which details the story of two sisters. The sisters, who are a physician and a private detective, assist school districts by teaching young students to consider the consequences of their actions so they do not fall into criminal patterns. Alongside his primary work, Mr. Bales taught as a professor in the CPA Program at Columbia Gorge Community College in Oregon and has maintained affiliation with the Oregon Certified Public Accountants Association. Outside of his vocational interests, he is also a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Notably, Mr. Bales was nominated for inclusion in the Eagle Scouts Hall of Fame. He attributes much of his own success to his passion for conducting work that is beneficial to the success of others. Looking toward the future, Mr. Bales would like to complete his novel “Consequences” and spend more time with his family. He lives and works by the motto, “Never look down on someone unless you are trying to help them.” Millennium Magazine Featured Listee RONALD JAMES BALES AUTHOR, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (RETIRED) Yakima, WA
