Additionally, he has operated as a clinical assistant professor of family medicine and community health at the University of Florida. Dr. Smolar previously served at a separate private practice from 1975 to 2005, and he originally began his career operating as a staff member at several hospitals in Florida, including the Boca Raton Community Hospital, North Broward Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital. In his other career-related endeavors, Dr. Smolar previously served as the district medical director of the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Employees Compensation at the onset of his career from 1969 to 1971 and from 1975 to 1979.
