Specializing in pediatric care and adolescent medicine, she operates as the owner of Ambush Pediatrics and Family Medical Clinic in Baltimore, Maryland. As the head of her company, she provides medical care to numerous patients and oversees her staff. Dr. Ambush has also worked extensively in intensive care and newborn intensive care units for 20 years. Adjacent to her primary vocation as a health care provider, Dr. Ambush previously served as an educator and student mentor at several colleges, including George Washington University, Coppin State University and the University of the District of Columbia. Before embarking on her vocational journey, she cultivated her own formal education, earning a Master of Science in Nursing, cum laude, at Lehman College in 1992. After receiving a post-master’s certificate for completing the pediatric nurse practitioner program at the Catholic University of America in 2013, Dr. Ambush continued her studies at Chatham University, where she achieved a Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2018. As part of her dedication to her profession, Dr. Ambush remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association. She also continues to serve her community as a civic-minded citizen, regularly attending speaking engagements for elementary and high schools and various church organizations. Over the course of her career, Dr. Ambush has attributed much of her success to her faith and her consistent sense of optimism, which she hopes to instill in others. In light of her fulfilling career, she is especially proud to have aided countless children in the field.
