267 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Having accumulated over 45 years of experience, Dr. Felix Betancourt-Bojos is a proven expert in the health care industry. Since 2006, he has served as a medical education coordinator at the Manatí Medical Center in Puerto Rico, where he specializes in family medicine. Though he is semi-retired, he remains responsible for training and evaluating new residents, in addition to overseeing the capacitation of the residents for medical board examinations. Prior to joining the center, Dr. Betancourt-Bojos served as a program director at the San Pablo Hospital in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, from 1990 to 2005. In his other professional endeavors, Dr. Betancourt-Bojos has also dedicated himself to the education of others, having served as an associate professor at the Universidad Central del Caribe and as an assistant professor at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He also remains affiliated with the American Board of Family Medicine, and he is a former president of the Puerto Rico Academy of Family Physicians, which previously named him the Family Physician of the Year in 2000. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Betancourt-Bojos pursued a formal education. After earning a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in 1969, he subsequently continued his studies at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where he achieved an MD in 1973. He completed a family medicine residency from 1973 to 1976 and, in his last year, served as chief resident. In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Betancourt-Bojos has successfully maintained his medical license since 1975. In light of his fulfilling career, Dr. Betancourt-Bojos attributes much of his success to his faith and the values instilled in him by his family and colleagues. In accounting for his achievements, he is especially proud to have served for many years in the field of medical education. In the coming years, Dr. Betancourt-Bojos intends to retire while also remaining involved in his profession as a consultant.
