Wyman has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of psychology. Since 1990, she has operated as an independent psychotherapist in New York, specializing in individual and group therapy, reflecting on various relationships, and diagnosing personality and mood disorders. Some of Ms. Wyman’s unique therapeutic methods include gestalt therapy, sand tray therapy, polarity therapy and core energetics. Through her sessions, she hopes to help others understand the richness of life and to be present in every moment through mindfulness techniques. Prior to beginning her vocational journey, Ms. Wyman pursued a formal education, beginning with her time at Manhattanville College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in art history in 1964. She subsequently continued her studies at Fordham University, where she achieved a master’s degree in social work. In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Wyman is also a registered polarity practitioner (RPP), having been recognized by The Polarity Institute, which is part of Polarity Learning LLC. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Wyman is also well regarded for her scholarly output, having authored “Gestalt of the Aging Process.” As part of her dedication to the field, she was also a faculty member of the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy for 16 years. Ms. Wyman is further known for her commitment to civic advocacy, volunteering with the Community of Block Associations in New York and the Peace Corps, as well as serving as a member of several community boards. In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Wyman attributes much of her success to her passion and ability to create bountiful, positive relationships. To this end, she naturally gravitated towards her vocation, even from a young age, and she is especially proud to have helped so many individuals confront their difficult memories and traumas. In the coming years, Ms. Wyman hopes to be able to devote more of her time to writing, and she intends to write an autobiography that delves deeply into the realms of psychotherapy. NEILA C.
