During this time, he found great reward and passion in his work, leading to his tenure as a biosafety director at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2001. Remaining in his roles until 2019, Mr. Hauck has concurrently served as an adjunct instructor at CUNY Hunter College in their medical laboratory sciences program. Mr. Hauck received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, an MS in microbiology from the University of Kentucky, and an MS in environmental and occupational health from Hunter College. Mr. Hauck is especially proud of organizing the institutional biosafety program and securing funds at the Icahn School of Medicine. Recognized with the 2015 Leadership Award from the American Industrial Hygiene Association, he continues to publish articles for The Synergist, the AIHA newsletter. Bolstered by more than 30 years of professional experience, Gary J. Lunger is a proven expert in the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2017, he has operated as the senior director of sales and marketing at Progenics Pharmaceuticals, where he specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. Additionally, he has served with Bayer AG as the deputy director of oncology marketing since 2012. Mr. Lunger originally began his career in 1990, working with General Electric as a nuclear medicine applications specialist until 1991. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Lunger pursued a formal education, earning a BS in radiologic sciences at the Florida College of Health Sciences in 2006 and an MS in radiologic and imaging science at Thomas Jefferson University in 2007. He also remains affiliated with the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Attributing much of his success to his drive and dedicated work ethic, Mr. Lunger is especially proud of the work his teams have accomplished in the various sectors of his industry, and he looks forward to continuing that work in the coming years.
