DIMITRIOS A. SAVVA With over a decade of experience to his credit, Dr. Dimitrios A. Savva specializes in the fields of pediatric critical care and pharmacology. Since 2021, he has operated as a clinical pharmacy specialist in the pediatric intensive care unit at the NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City. He originally joined the hospital’s staff in 2018, working in a similar role in the neonatal intensive care unit. Dr. Savva began his career serving in several internships between 2010 and 2016 until completing his residencies in 2017 and 2018. As part of his vocational journey, Dr. Savva pursued a formal education, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at St. John’s University in 2016. He also remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including Phi Lambda Sigma and Phi Delta Chi. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is also well regarded for his scholarly output, having authored and co-authored numerous papers in the field of pharmacology. In the coming years, Dr. Savva hopes to continue expanding his skillset and making a difference in the field of pediatrics. Drawing upon a BA from Middlebury College and a PhD from the California Institute of Technology in 1957 and 1963, respectively, Dr. Jon H. Shirley accrued 55 years of experience in physics and research prior to his retirement in 2018. Commencing his career in 1963, he served the National Bureau of Standards in Boulder, Colorado, as a physicist for a decade. Subsequently, he briefly served as a research associate at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Helsinki in Finland before joining the Joint Institute Laboratory of Astrophysics as a consultant in 1978. Following his departure from the institute, Dr. Shirley was a consultant for the National Institute of Standards and Technology between 1983 and 2018. Throughout his career, Dr. Shirley contributed 40 articles to scientific journals, and he has held a patent for modulation transfer spectroscopy. He has maintained membership with the American Physical Society and Sigma Xi. Impressively, he was bestowed with the Rabi Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in 2002, which he cites as a career highlight.
