164 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING With over four decades of experience to his credit, Walter L. Williams is a proven expert in the fields of electrical engineering and electronic technology. Since 2020, he has operated as a quality control electrical level two inspector and engineer at the Vogtle Nuclear Power Station, overseen by Bechtel Corporation. As part of his duties, he is responsible for overseeing the installation of electrical safety equipment used by his colleagues at various nuclear power plants. He initially joined the company in 2011, working at the Watts Bar Nuclear Station until 2014. In addition to his current positions, Mr. Williams also previously served as an outside plant technician and lineman for Verizon in Fredericksburg, Virginia, from 2005 to 2010. He originally began his career in 1975, working as a quality control engineer at a variety of nuclear stations run by General Electric until 1985. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Williams pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Science in electronic technology at Norfolk State University. In addition to his academic credentials, he also holds several industry-related certifications, including for mechanical inspection and electrical inspection. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Williams is well regarded for his dedication to civic advocacy, actively supporting the Salvation Army and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Over the course of his career, Mr. Williams has attributed much of his success to the support of those who surround him, especially his parents. To this end, he defines success as being able to achieve one’s goals, and he aims to reach the highest possible level in his field. In light of his many accomplishments, he is especially proud of all the progress he has made thus far and to have been able to work in multiple sectors of his industry. In the coming years, Mr. Williams hopes to help construct the first nuclear power plant in the United States during the 21st century. WALTER L.
