238 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Dreier remains committed to civic advocacy, working with the United Way, the American National Red Cross, and the local political headquarters where she resides. She initially began her career when library record keeping was transitioning from paper records to microfiche, and she later witnessed the transition from microfiche to fully computeroperated record maintenance. This provided Ms. Dreier with great versatility in the field, which has largely contributed to her success. In accounting for her fulfilling career, Ms. Dreier is especially proud to have won her award alongside her colleagues, making them the first librarians in the Air Force to achieve such an accolade. Having recently joined her family on their farm, she intends to continue assisting them in its upkeep and maintenance in the coming years. With over 20 years of professional experience to her credit, Marsha Dreier has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of public service. For 15 years, she has served as a technical librarian for the United States Navy and United States Air Force. As a lead librarian, she has primarily operated at the Air Force Research Laboratory, maintaining physical and virtual records and interacting with other military and scientific personnel, particularly from the Navy and NASA. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Dreier worked extensively in public and university libraries. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Dreier pursued a formal education. After earning a bachelor’s degree at the University of Wyoming, she subsequently continued her studies at the University of Arizona, where she received a master’s degree in information science. In light of her academic and professional accomplishments, Ms. Dreier was honored with the Smithsonian Computer World Award for Innovative Use of Technology in Information Management in 1999.
