Drawing upon nearly 50 years of experience in the field of law enforcement, Dr. Richard Holton has excelled as a subject matter expert and management training specialist with the Miami Police Department in Florida since 2012. In his dual roles, he is responsible for developing courses and providing supervisory training for law enforcement officials who are pursuing certification. Additionally, Dr. Holton provides middle management training for lieutenants and captains in law enforcement. Earlier in his career, he served as a police commander for the Miami-Dade Police Department between 1974 and 2004. Furthermore, Dr. Holton has instructed on conflict resolution at St. Thomas University since 2004 and is an instructor for the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities. Notably, Dr. Holton has proven himself a reliable expert in all areas of law enforcement, social service and business management, having also been the founder, president and chief executive officer of the Teen Police Academy Inc.
