Mr. Rodríguez’s performance in the field was born of his educational journey, which began with his time at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. While studying at the college, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in organizational leadership, cum laude, in 1974. He subsequently continued his studies at the Seton Hall University School of Law, where he achieved a JD in 1978. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Rodríguez is a member of the Bronx County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Outside of his vocational duties, Mr. Rodríguez enjoys keeping busy with dancing, carpentry and renovating his home. Over the course of his career, he has attributed much of his success to his upbringing. To this end, his mother instilled in him the importance of education. Mr. Rodríguez is especially proud to have practiced law alongside his daughter, and he looks forward to continuing his work in the coming years. With over four decades of experience to his credit, José Antonio Rodríguez has cultivated a prosperous career in the field of law. Since 2018, he has operated as the executive vice president and chief legal officer of Acacia Network Inc., a nonprofit social services organization serving the underserved communities of New York City. Mr. Rodríguez originally joined the company in 2009 as a board attorney. As part of his profession, he specializes in real estate dealings, purchasing properties where the company may develop facilities for their affordable housing programs. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Rodríguez began his career in 1979 as a partner with Rodriguez and Leid, P.C., where he worked until 2002. Adjacent to his primary responsibilities, Mr. Rodríguez is dedicated to civic advocacy, operating shelters and overseeing primary care and behavioral health care clinics within his community. As part of his dedication to the field, he also remains affiliated with the American Health Law Association.
