367 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine RETAIL, WHOLESALE, DISTRIBUTION AND SALES Leveraging over 25 years of experience, Michel Horn is a proven leader in the produce industry. With a keen mind for overseeing business and sales operations, she recently joined Fresh Innovations California LLC in 2022 as the director of procurement. Prior to her current appointment, she operated with DOLE Fresh Vegetables from 2007 to 2022, initially joining as a manager of forecasting and sales strategy and subsequently rising to the position of senior director of customer operations. Ms. Horn began her career in 1997, working as a local route manager moving to national sales senior manager of sales, copack and commodity for Earthbound Farm until 2007. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Horn pursued a formal education, beginning with her time at Heald College, where she earned an Associate of Arts in hospitality, sales and marketing. She subsequently continued her studies at the University of Phoenix, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2014. In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Horn is certified as a notary public in the state of California. Adjacent to her primary professional endeavors, Ms. Horn also remains active as a civic-minded citizen, volunteering with the community and serving as an active member of the American Cancer Society. She previously served as a team mom and fundraising coordinator for many of her children’ teams and clubs from 1995 to 2019. Ever committed to her work, she also remains affiliated with the United Fresh Produce Association and the National Society for Education. Well regarded for her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Horn, along with her committee, was honored with the Purple Pace Setter Award from the American Cancer Society. In accounting for her many accomplishments, Ms. Horn attributes much of her success to the mentors who have guided her throughout her career. She is especially proud of her work at DOLE, where she and a co-worker implemented the DOLE On-Site Learning Experience program, which allows customers to view the production process firsthand. In the coming years, Ms. Horn hopes to take on the role of vice president of operations.
