Portsmouth, NH With more than 50 years of experience, Pamela S. Hall has cultivated a career of excellence in environmental consulting. She has also been passionate about corporate social responsibility, such as employee empowerment, community engagement, volunteerism and charitable support. She joined Normandeau Associates Inc., a national leader in science-based environmental consulting services, research and technological innovations, in 1971, shortly after its founding. Throughout her career, Ms. Hall served as a trailblazer within the environmental consulting industry and the company. In 2000, she led the effort to buy the company from a Fortune 500 company and make it a private, 100% employeeowned, women-led business. From 1988 until transitioning the firm to new leadership in 2020, she served as the company’s chief executive officer. She also served as board chair from 2015 to 2020, having joined the board of directors in 2000. She previously served as vice president, programs and operations manager, and marine laboratory director. Ever dedicated to her profession, Ms. Hall remains affiliated with several professional organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, the National Audubon Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Ms. Hall is on the board of directors of the Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire; the EBC Advisory Council and the New Hampshire Research and Industry Council; and the University of New Hampshire Manchester Advisory Board. Additionally, she holds the title of chair emeritus of the board of Volunteer NH. She is also deeply committed to serving her state, including two gubernatorial appointments. Ms. Hall’s formal education includes the University of Connecticut, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in zoology in 1966. She continued her studies at the University of New Hampshire, earning a Master of Science in zoology in 1969 and completing doctoral coursework in zoology between 1969 and 1971.
