Mr. Thomas attributes much of his success to his ability to be a team player and strive for greatness in all his endeavors. To this end, he finds the most rewarding aspect of his career to be meeting new individuals, serving his customers delicious food and providing excellent customer service. As a testament to his success, The Real McCoy’s was named among “Best of the Best” by the Wake Choice Awards. Mr. Thomas lives and works by the motto, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” Married to his wife Amy, Mr. Thomas has one child, Riley. He currently resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He previously underwent coursework in the theatre arts and maintained membership with Phi Theta Kappa. Growing up involved in the restaurant industry, John Thomas has exhibited a natural affinity for entrepreneurship and a passion for meeting with and helping other individuals. Upon his realization that he wanted to own a restaurant, he attended Greenville Technical College and received a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship in 2015. Following this accomplishment, Mr. Thomas began drafting business plans and seeking out investors to purchase a restaurant. Since 2018, he has excelled as the co-owner of The Real McCoy’s in Wake Forest, North Carolina, where he previously served as a bar manager. Since taking ownership of The Real McCoy’s, Mr. Thomas has been afforded opportunities to improve the restaurant’s success and company culture. Having developed the restaurant during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Thomas is especially proud to have thrived even during the height of the pandemic, serving as a testament to his and his restaurant’s success.
