Thereafter, she served within the Oncology Unit in 1985 and, subsequently, was the manager of their Outpatient Infusion Center from 1986 to 1988. Notably, for the next two years, she was a radiology nurse and manager. From 1990 to 2001, Ms. Murray excelled within the specialization of venous access, as well as an educator of staff development between 2001 and 2009. Holding many academic and medical credentials, Ms. Murray is a certified IRB professional and first aid trainer and holds certifications in advanced and basic cardiac life support, chemotherapy and peripherally inserted central catheter. She draws upon a BSN from Northern Michigan University, which she received in 1977. Likewise, she maintains active affiliation with the Society of Clinical Research Associates and PRIM&R. Among the many highlights of her career, Ms. Murray is particularly proud of being one of the first nurses to complete a research project in only a matter of months, for which she earned the MAGNET Award, a nursing award for excellence. Additionally, she was among the first nurses to perform chemotherapy at Munson Medical Center and spearheaded several prominent changes in their health care system, which included changing the medical center’s dress code. Furthermore, she served on the COVID team and was a pioneer in the treatment of COVID-positive patients. Looking forward, Ms. Murray intends to continue developing the Institutional Review Board, as well as become certified and credentialed in more health care subspecialties. In addition to these feats, she would like to mentor more nurses and advance her own career. Judith M.
