127 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Dr. N. K. Rathee is a driven and ambitious professional with over 37 years of experience devoted to transformational education policies. Serving as a professor and the director of education graduate programs at Delaware State University (DSU), she spearheaded an increase in graduate student enrollment in the education graduate programs while chairing the committees of 61 individuals for their doctoral degrees. She was recently recognized for her adaptive leadership, which led to a significant transformation of the program, with enrollment skyrocketing by 729%. Dr. Rathee has received many accolades for her research papers and presentations. DSU honored her with the 10-Year Meritorious Service Award, Outstanding Faculty Award, Sunshine Award, and Professional Development and Merit Awards. She was honored with the Global Teacher Role Model Award and a commendation from the Indian Finance Minister of State. Dr. Rathee was the co-principal and principal investigator on a $75,000 research grant from the American Honda Foundation’s Explorers’ Club and the co-principal investigator on a $2,000,000 grant from the NSF for the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program at Delaware State. She has contributed to 12 book publications, including “Younger Gifted and Missing” and “Essentials of Physical Education.” Her latest book, “Contemporary Yoga Education Transforming the Body Mind & Soul,” has also been translated into Italian. She has authored 55 papers in scholarly publications and presided over sessions at over 114 conferences as a keynote speaker. Dr. Rathee is involved in the Special Olympics, American Heart Association, Autism Society of Delaware, Delaware Association for Blind Athletes, and Social Service Club for blind children and children with other disabilities in India. The UN and International Olympic Committee invited her to attend the Third International Forum on Sports for Peace and Development as an ambassador.
