Ms. Zucker originally joined the company as the director of community relations when it was initially founded in 1982 by her late husband, Jerry Zucker. Adjacent to her primary professional endeavors, Ms. Zucker is also dedicated to civic advocacy, participating as a trustee for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Board and a member of the South Carolina State Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, she is a founding member of the Tri-County Cradle to Career Collaborative, an initiative that supports families and children in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Zucker has been honored with numerous awards, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award with the United States President’s Seal in 2022, the James L. Fisher Distinguished Service Award in 2019 and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2018. Before embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Zucker pursued a formal education. Beginning her studies at the University of Florida, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in education in 1972. After continuing her studies at the University of North Florida, Ms. Zucker achieved a Master of Education in educational administration and supervision in 1978. Throughout her career, Ms. Zucker has largely attributed her success to the incredible individuals with whom she has been surrounded, who have been constant sources of inspiration, love and support. In light of her numerous achievements, she is especially proud of her work in the sale of the Hudson’s Bay Company, which came shortly after she took ownership of The InterTech Group. In the coming years, Ms. Zucker intends to retire, focus on her passions and travel across the globe. With four decades of experience to her credit, Anita G. Zucker is a proven expert in the fields of talent management and networking.
