Throughout his years in education, Mr. Walzer has learned that a great deal of the student body desires to learn and retain knowledge to benefit themselves and society at large. Among the many highlights of his career, he is especially gratified by the experiences he has garnered in witnessing students understand the subject material provided to them and being supported by his students’ parents. Looking toward the future of his life and career, Mr. Walzer intends to eventually delve back into substitute teaching. He would also like to spend more time with his grandniece and grandnephews in the forthcoming years as they come of age and publish his poetry through Eber and Wein Publishers. In his free time, Mr. Walzer enjoys playing tennis, ping pong and hiking. He has been a noted member of the Akron Hiking Club since 2012. Demonstrating versatility in his profession, Mr. Walzer has also published a myriad of books and poetry. Recently in 2022, he authored “Hula Hoopla” through Eber and Wein Publishers. He has also penned more than 60 letters in the Akron Beacon Journal between 2007 and 2022 and was the author of “The Many Colors of Vinny Vango” through Eber and Wein Publishers in 2017. Earlier, Mr. Walzer wrote “Staking a Claim” in 2014 and has written several poems that are pending publication. Mr. Walzer attributes much of his success to his upbringing. To this end, he credits the influence of his parents, Robert Walzer and Alice Hayes Walzer, who both encouraged him to pursue his dreams and have a resounding impact on the community. He also cites his Uncle Jim, known as Father Walzer at several churches in the Akron area and one in Cleveland, Ohio, as a mentor.
