Oaks commenced his career in 1992 when he joined his father and grandfather’s insurance agency. Noting that it would have become a third-generation family business, Mr. Oaks eventually bought the agency from his father and sold it to a separate entity. Moving forward in his career, he subsequently bought American Advantage Lindow Insurance in 2015, where he currently excels as the president of the company. Mr. Oaks attributes much of his present success to his ability to be forthcoming and straightforward with both his clients and employees, as well as presenting a client-focused approach to his work. To wit, he and his team always puts clients first and structures their coverage in a simple, yet efficient manner for all to understand. Among the myriad of highlights throughout his career, he is especially gratified by purchasing American Advantage Lindow Insurance and growing it from a $2 million revenue agency to a $3.6 million revenue agency in just seven years. Drawing upon a master’s degree from Rollins College, which he attained in 1992, Mr. Oaks has sat on several advisory boards, having served West Bend Mutual Hanover Insurance, as well. To give back to the community and instill in his employees a sense of justice, he developed a new initiative that provides a quarter of his staff $1,000 for donations to charitable organizations. In turn, his marketing department distributes press releases in relation to the donations, which results in an increased client base. Mr. Oaks maintains membership with Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin and Professional Insurance Agents in his spare time. Looking toward the future, he intends to broaden his reach with American Advantage Lindow Insurance, growing the agency by an additional 15%.
