243 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY Bolstered by more than 45 years of professional experience, Michael K. Price has cultivated a career of excellence in military service. From 1977 to 2015, he honorably served in the United States Navy as a weapons officer, achieving the rank of captain prior to retiring. Since 2015, he has operated as an explosives safety specialist supervisor for Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity, a part of Naval Sea Systems Command. In his current role, Mr. Price performs routine weapon inspections at naval facilities in the United States, Europe, Bahrain and Africa, in addition to supervising his team of fellow professionals. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Price pursued a formal education. After earning a bachelor’s degree in management at Columbia University in New York, he subsequently continued his studies at Saint Leo University and achieved a master’s degree in management in 2009. To remain abreast of developments within his field, Mr. Price maintains membership with the Association of Aviation Ordnancemen. Outside of his primary duties, he continues to serve as a civic-minded citizen, regularly volunteering with The American Red Cross and the Navy Marine Corps Relief Combined Federal Campaign. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Price was previously honored with a Leadership Award. In accounting for his achievements, he largely attributes his success to the support of his family and colleagues. To this end, he is especially proud to have been selected for a commission as a naval officer at the 10-year point of his military career, in addition to achieving the rank of captain. In the coming years, Mr. Price hopes to retire from professional work sometime in the near future. MICHAEL K.
