305 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS helping women who face unplanned pregnancies, she was initially drawn to the Pregnancy Resource Center in light of their aid to communities of not only women but men and families, as well. Notably, the Pregnancy Resource Center offers personalized choices and resources for each individual situation and works with outside community partners for education needs, medical services and transportation. Ms. Stauffer has called her work with the Pregnancy Resource Center her calling, and she has since witnessed positive changes in her community. Ms. Stauffer received a BS in business administration from Faulkner University in 1997. While pursuing her degree, she worked at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she served as a business officer in the department of radiology research between 1987 and 2014. She also taught as a middle school teacher. Outside of her primary endeavors, she is a member of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, as well as the president of the Trussville Noon Rotary Club and member of the Birmingham chapter of Business Networking International. Among the many highlights of her career, Ms. Stauffer is especially proud of working with women, men and families who are also seeking to further their own education and job training amid the uncertainties of an unplanned pregnancy. She attributes much of her own success to her goal-oriented nature and thirst for knowledge. She emphasizes that it has been crucial for other pregnancy centers to meet growing technological needs to effectively reach their target audience, which has often included digital marketing for young women who use technology to find aid. Looking forward, Ms. Stauffer intends to continue in her current career path and expand her clientele. She would also like to include additional services to the Pregnancy Resource Center to better serve their clients. Sharon T. Stauffer joined the Positive Choices Pregnancy Resource Center in 2016 after spending nearly 30 years in the education sector. First serving the Pregnancy Resource Center as an office manager for three years, she was then promoted to executive director in 2019 – a position she still holds today.
