Mr. Starry previously began his own practice in 1997, which he maintained until joining his current team. Over the course of his career, Mr. Starry has handled numerous cases pertaining to workplace injuries, automobile and industrial accidents, and pharmaceutical misuse, in addition to various civil matters. He successfully argued for the plaintiff in the noteworthy case of Hodges v. Delta Airlines in 1995. Mr. Starry was originally admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1986, and he remains affiliated with several other industry-related organizations, including the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Supreme Court Bar. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Starry pursued a formal education. He began his studies at the University of Southern California, where he achieved a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies, political science and international relations in 1983. He subsequently attained a JD at the Vanderbilt University Law School in 1986. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Starry also holds a certificate in mediation. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Starry is well-regarded for his dedication to civic advocacy. To this end, he provides upwards of 30 hours of pro bono work each year to citizens in his community who cannot normally afford legal services. In accounting for his achievements, he attributes much of his success to his committed work ethic and the guidance of his colleagues.
