386 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL SERVICES AND NONPROFIT Tamika D. Holmes founded the Community Care Development Network in 2014, where she continues to serve as founder and executive director. As an individual with an innate understanding of homelessness, hunger and poverty, Ms. Holmes has sought to provide members of her community with the opportunity to succeed in life through providing access to essential resources. To this end, Ms. Holmes established her nonprofit organization to help the lives of others, thereby improving their well-being and physical, emotional and spiritual development. Additionally, the Community Care Development Network has assisted hundreds of families throughout Jefferson County, Alabama, with their food hub. To the present day, it supplies food to over 700 families per month. To prepare for her career, Ms. Holmes received an AA in office administration from Lawson State Community College, a BBA and an MBA from Virginia College, and an MHRM from Colorado Technical University. Currently, she is pursuing an EdD in education, with an emphasis on organizational development and community, at Marymount University. Ms. Holmes also holds certifications in such areas as business administration, social and behavioral research, and human resource management. Prior to founding the Community Care Development Network, she served in the public sector for seven years at such companies as AmeriCorps, Alagasco and the United Way of Central Alabama, among other organizations. Alongside her primary duties, Ms. Holmes also owns Divine Consulting Firm LLC and is a career instructor for WorkFaith Birmingham, an adjunct professor of business and human resources at Lawson State Community College, and an independent consultant for outplacement services at First Sun Consulting LLC. To attest to her success, Ms. Holmes has received numerous accolades. Most recently, in 2021, she was named among Women to Watch by the Birmingham Business Journal and by Mayor Randall L. Woodfin, as well as an Unsung Hero for the Beautiful Ladies in Hats by Alabama State Representatives Rolanda Hollis and Congresswoman Terri Sewell. Recognized as a Woman of Distinction by the Women of Distinction Foundation in 2020, she also earned the highest community service award for honor and valor by the Birmingham Police Department in 2019.
