Prior to commencing her career, Ms. Hughes Pak attended Midwestern State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications, with a minor in public relations and education certification, in 1997. She subsequently went on to serve in numerous executive-level roles in the nonprofit sector, including as the director of marketing and development of Meals on Wheels of Wichita Falls. During her five-year tenure, she increased the organization’s revenue by approximately 150% and led the organization to win such accolades as the Torch Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau. She has also served as the director of resource development for the North Texas United Way, as an educator, and as a customer relations and sales representative for Bailey Equipment and Supply. Civically involved, as well, Ms. Hughes Pak is a founding board member of Impact 100 Wichita Falls, the Holliday Independent School District Education Foundation and the Wichita Falls Downtown After-Hours Art Walk. Impressively, she has served as a committee member for The Center’s Walk for Life for over 12 years, has participated in over 30 nonprofit organizations, and has served on over 15 nonprofit boards. As a testament to her success, Ms. Hughes Pak was chosen as a panel speaker for the BOSS Successful Networking Series by the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce. She also received the Pride Integrity Greatness Award from Leadership Wichita Falls’ Class of 2017 and First Place Trophies for the most money raised for The Center’s Walk for Life in 2010, 2011 and 2012, among many other accolades. Possessing more than 30 years of professional experience in the field of management, Pam Hughes Pak has served as the manager of public affairs for the Mid-Tex Division of Atmos Energy since 2021.
