122 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION To commemorate her professional accomplishments, Ms. McLellan was recognized as District Teacher of the Year by Dillon School District #4 in 2022, an achievement of which she is notably proud. To wit, her performance in the field was born of her own academic journey. Ms. McLellan attended Coastal Carolina University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in 2013 and a master’s degree in literacy in 2018. In light of her achievements, Ms. McLellan attributes much of her success to her colleagues, who offered her many opportunities to excel, inspired her to become a leader, and often remarked that she is helpful and sweet. To wit, she thrives as an educator by understanding the needs and strengths of her students. In the near future, Ms. McLellan looks forward to continuing her work at Stewart Heights Elementary School, and she is considering earning national board certification as a teacher. Having accrued nearly a decade of professional experience, Margaret McLellan is a rising leader in the field of education. Since 2013, she has operated as a general education teacher at Stewart Heights Elementary School in Dillon, South Carolina. As an educator, Ms. McLellan specializes in teaching reading skills and social studies to second grade students, and she is well regarded for thinking outside the box and utilizing creative techniques and activities to teach. Adjacent to her primary vocational duties, Ms. McLellan is an active volunteer in her local community, serving as a program coordinator for many of her school’s extracurricular activities, including the Save the Children and Summer Boost programs. Furthermore, she is the chairperson of the second grade Student Intervention Council. As part of her commitment to the field, Ms. McLellan also remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the Palmetto State Teachers Association, the South Carolina Education Association and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
