132 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Bolstered by more than 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Lauren M. Valle has cultivated a career of excellence in the fields of education and coaching. She has served as a mathematics teacher for Central Florida since 2002. She has several years of experience as an adjunct instructor for Florida State College of Jacksonville, Bethune Cookman University and Daytona State College. She was also a presenter for the International Alliance of Teacher Scholars in 2010 in Pomona, California, on the topic, “Experiential Learning.” Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Dr. Valle pursued her own formal education, earning both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Valle concluded her studies at Nova Southeastern University with her Doctor of Education in educational leadership and a focus on curriculum and teaching. Dr. Valle holds six teaching certifications in the state of Florida and is rated Highly Distinguished. In October 2015, with eight players, Dr. Valle founded Port Orange Volleyball (POV) and has grown the organization to serve over 100 players each year in sand and indoor volleyball. Prior to POV, Dr. Valle coached for Florida Elite Volleyball and worked hard to become a CAP 3 USA Volleyball Coach. She also earned a bronze medal in an international competition, representing Team Florida in the summer of 2021. In addition to volleyball, Dr. Valle has also coached basketball, softball, track and field, and weightlifting over the course of her career. Dr. Valle is affiliated with the National Education Association, Volusia United Educators, Amateur Athletic Union and USA Volleyball. To commemorate her accomplishments, in her fifth season at Mainland High School, she made a district final appearance earning district runner-up, which was the first time in 14 years of school history. Looking toward the future, she hopes to keep inspiring her students and players to be their absolute best and to continue to serve her community. DR. LAUREN M.
