Mr. Holland was inspired to pursue a career in photography and filmmaking by “The Family of Man” exhibit, which was carefully curated by Edward Steichen and displayed at the New York Museum of Modern Art in 1955. Amongst his many accomplishments throughout his career, he is especially proud to have married his wife, Helen, who has served as a constant source of guidance and wisdom. As part of his creative endeavors, Mr. Holland hopes to continue writing and publishing books in the coming years. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Holland pursued a formal education. Beginning his studies at Principia College, where he completed coursework from 1962 to 1964, he subsequently earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Ohio University in 1966. Shortly after graduating, he continued his studies at the Missouri School of Journalism, part of the University of Missouri, where he completed postgraduate coursework. He also completed an internship in photography with the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C., the same year. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Holland also holds a real estate broker’s license. Outside of his vocational interests, Mr. Holland remains active as a civic-minded citizen. To this end, he is an active associate of the Boston Public Library, the Small Property Owners Association and the Neighborhood Association of Back Bay. To remain abreast of
