Since 2017, she has operated as the owner of Henderson and Associates LLC. For 10 years, her company has primarily worked with Travel Web Associates, which assists clients with travel plans and finding quality prices on flights and locations. As part of her daily duties, Ms. Henderson is mainly responsible for handling the taxes for Travel Web Associates, in addition to assisting many other individuals on a referral basis. Though she has always considered herself a numbers person, Ms. Henderson first discovered her interest in taxes after working with H&R Block in 1994. She previously served as the assistant chief of medical administration service for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs from 1984 to 2018. She also served in the United States Navy between 1988 and 1991. To remain abreast of developments in her industry, Ms. Henderson has remained affiliated with the National Association of Tax Professionals. Before embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Henderson pursued a formal education at Baptist Health Sciences University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in health administration and graduated at the top of her class. In addition to her academic credentials, she is also certified as a notary. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Henderson has been recognized with several accolades from the Department of Veterans Affairs, including a Special Contribution Award in 2000 and a Suggestion Award in 1993. Ms. Henderson attributes many of her accomplishments to her innate drive to succeed.
