HEALTH AND WELLNESS the Consumers Research Council honored him as one of America’s Top Physicians in 2003 and named him as one of America’s Top Financial Planners in 2015. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Smolar has also appeared in approximately 20 Who’s Who editions, including Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare. Throughout his career, Dr. Smolar has strived to tirelessly take care of his patients. To wit, he has found a wealth of satisfaction from simply being able to receive his patients’ handshakes in thanks. In light of his fulfilling career, he largely attributes his success to the support and guidance of his colleagues, mentors and college fraternity brothers. He especially offers a wealth of thanks to Dr. Winne, one of his biology teachers in college. In accounting for his achievements, Dr. Smolar is especially proud to have developed many positive relationships with his patients throughout his years as a physician. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Smolar pursued a formal education, beginning with his time at Union College, where he received a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences, with honors, in 1964. He subsequently continued his studies at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and achieved an MD in 1968. Since beginning his career, he has also earned several master’s degrees in health administration and health systems management at Nova University. In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Smolar holds several pertinent certifications in endocrinology and metabolism studies and as a financial consultant. Dr. Smolar is well-regarded for his scholarly output, as well, having authored numerous articles and papers that have been published in reputable medical journals. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he has received a bevy of accolades over the course of his career. He was honored as the Best Doctor in South Florida by Miami Metro Magazine in 2002, and
