Impressively, Dr. Tolentino has been revered in the industry across the United States and the Philippines, having developed innovative surgical techniques for the eye throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He has likewise co-authored numerous books, including “Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy (PVR)” and “Atlas of Vitreoretinal Surgery.” For his expertise, he earned the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Association of the Philippines in 2022.
