This property won the Ken Kringle Historic Preservation Award in 2015. This award is in recognition of outstanding historic preservation achievements in their area. Beginning in 2019, Delbert Uhlik and Ms. Uhlik established DC Legacy Properties LLC. Ms. Uhlik gains experience through the hard knocks of the real estate market. Ms. Uhlik continues to enhance her knowledge and experience in real estate. DC Legacy Properties LLC’s investments span throughout the country. Ms. Uhlik’s own business portfolio includes ownership in rental properties and commercial investments. Ms. Uhlik is currently pursuing the opportunity to offer Second Chance Homes, where she hopes to provide young adults and families with opportunities for growth and success in their own lives. DC Legacy Properties LLC strives for integrity in its business endeavors. Delbert Uhlik and Ms. Uhlik’s personal and professional lives are both driven to meet the same goal. Ms. Uhlik tracks the properties financially as the bookkeeper and physically through communication. Alongside her primary real estate responsibilities, she has also been known to pick up a paintbrush on her own, as well as inspecting and keeping track of the conditions of properties in their portfolios. She strives to keep the rental properties up to or above par to industry standards. She believes everyone deserves to live a dignified life in a home. Prior to Ms. Uhlik’s real estate endeavors, she was an elementary school librarian, a classroom associate and volunteered at an inner-city preschool.
