She earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and commerce from Catawba College and a Master of Arts in educational leadership and administration from Appalachian State University, and she completed coursework towards a Doctor of Education at UNC Greensboro. In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Sherrill has been recognized with several accolades, including a Global Beauty Award. Ms. Sherrill strives to find success in all her current endeavors. She currently participates as a public speaker, in addition to her continued work in numerous pageants. Her greatest hope is to serve as a positive influence and to motivate and inspire the senior population to remain productive in their lives. In the coming years, Ms. Sherrill hopes to finish visiting all 50 states, having already visited 30 thus far. Having excelled as a school administrator for almost three decades at the Iredell-Statesville Schools, Dreisa Jordan Sherrill transitioned to a career in pageant consulting and wardrobe styling in 2015, working with Foxy Lady in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The family-owned business has catered to the Southeast since 1972, offering fashionable attire for pageants, interviews, proms, social events and weddings. Since shifting into her new vocation, Ms. Sherrill has also been named Miss South Carolina Senior America and Miss Senior World 60s from the Miss Senior World Pageant, as hosted by Ms. Senior America LLC since 2020. Ms. Sherrill has always excelled in playing piano and was initially pursuing a career in musical theater. After competing in several pageants, she subsequently met with a pageant recruiter and discovered the process was highly similar to interviewing and preparing for jobs. Since falling in love with the pageant process and the friendly but competitive environment, Ms. Sherrill has competed, judged or entertained in over 350 pageants.
