140 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Dr. Lynda J. McCoy is an expert in the field of education with over two decades of experience to her credit. Currently serving as an academic writing consultant and chief operating officer with Phillips International Consulting, she has also been a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Mathematics Education. Additionally, she is a postdoctoral research fellow at California State University, where she previously earned an MA in education and an EdD in educational leadership. Prior to joining her alma mater in a professional capacity, Dr. McCoy worked in a variety of teaching and administrative roles within the Los Angeles Unified School District. As part of her vocational journey, Dr. McCoy began her own collegiate studies by earning a BS in business management at the University of Phoenix and an MBA at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California Irvine. Outside of her endeavors as an educator, she remains active as a civic-minded citizen in her community, regularly donating blood to the American Red Cross and serving as a mentor to Top Teens of America. Dr. McCoy attributes much of her success to her drive to make a difference in her field. Specializing in K-12 education, he operated within the Redlands Unified School District in Redlands, California, as a special education teacher from 2006 to 2018, a coordinator of special services from 2018 to 2019 and now as a coordinator of special education since 2019. In his various roles, he has been responsible for overseeing private school students, speech-language pathologists, the Home-Hospital Program, which services students who cannot ordinarily attend school because of mental or physical disabilities, and elementary school students who qualify for special education programs. Before embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Minton cultivated his own education, earning several degrees throughout his collegiate studies. To this end, he earned an EdD in leadership for educational justice at the University of Redlands in 2011. Hailing from a family lineage of educators, he naturally gravitated toward his vocation and attributes much of his success to the numerous colleagues and students with whom he has worked throughout his career.
