Since 2012, he has operated as the owner and primary clinician at The Primary Witness, where he offers psychotherapy and mental health consulting services. Mr. Leão’s practice is based on existentialism, Buddhist psychology and psychodynamics. To this end, he has accrued a wealth of experience working alongside fellow social workers, clinical psychologists and law enforcement agencies. In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Leão has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Naropa University, where he previously earned a bachelor’s degree in 2008 and a master’s degree in 2012. He is currently pursuing a PhD in existential psychology at Saybrook University, with an anticipated graduation date in 2027. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he was honored with an Award for Outstanding Services to the Boulder Police Department and the Community in 2018. While he believes much of his work in the field has left a positive impact on others, Mr. Leão hopes to achieve his full potential in the coming years. Since 1983, she has served as an individual, marital and family therapist at Caramanico Maguire Associates Inc., where she offers therapeutic services to a wide range of young and adult patients. Well-versed in electrical engineering, as well, she previously worked as an engineer for International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation and taught students at Temple University. Ms. Maguire originally began her career as a helicopter systems project manager and engineer in the United States Navy. Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Maguire pursued a formal education at Villanova University, earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1969. She subsequently achieved an MSEE at the University of Notre Dame in 1972 and an MSS at Bryn Mawr College in 1983. Furthermore, she is a fully licensed clinical social worker. Attributing much of her success to the nurturing environment in which she has cultivated her skills, Ms. Maguire hopes to author a book on the fundamentals of therapy in the coming years.
