408 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TECHNOLOGY After graduating from the University of Bayreuth in Germany with a Master of Science in mathematics in 1985, David Alan Seldner desired to enter the field of research. Receiving a job offer in computation and physics, he began working for Kernforschungszentrum in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1986 as a mathematician, remaining in that role until 1994. Subsequently, he served in the same capacity for Forschungszentrum from 1994 to 2008. Since 2008, Mr. Seldner has excelled as a mathematician for the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Alongside his primary efforts as a mathematician, he also taught at the University of Karlsruhe between 1990 and 1992. Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Seldner is especially gratified by finding a method that solved a mathematical question that had never been solved before. To this end, his work is still being cited to the present day. In addition to his main endeavors, Mr. Seldner has contributed a myriad of articles to professional publications and was a grantee of the Federal Ministry for Research and Technology in Germany between 1986 and 1990. As a testament to his success, he was highlighted in Who’s Who in the World. MATHEMATICIAN Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Karlsruhe, Germany With over 15 years of experience, Lynn M. Smith Jr. is an expert in the fields of technology consulting and education. He served as director of technology as the systems administrator for the College of Education at Prairie View A&M University. Specializing in electrical engineering technology, he has operated at Eletek Solutions Inc., as owner and technology consultant since 2007. Furthermore, Mr. Smith served as recording secretary, vice president and director of educational activities for an Area IX chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., in Prairie View, Texas. Mr. Smith pursued an education at Prairie View A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology in 2011. Adjacent to his professional duties, he remains involved through volunteering in his community and providing resources for citizens and the elderly population. He naturally gravitated toward a career in the field of technology, having been inspired by his father, who was an electrician in the United States Navy. In the coming years, he will conduct more consulting and technology projects, teach the youth about STEM, travel to school districts and educate teachers on how to use innovative educational technologies effectively.
