248 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine With a specialization in disaster recovery and consultancy, Jason Wesley Harris serves as a consultant, advisor and senior grants manager for CSRS Inc., a management consulting firm that has worked alongside government entities to recover after a disaster. One such disaster recovery program is working with Jefferson Parish in Louisiana, which was devasted by Hurricane Ida in 2021. Mr. Harris is also a technical assistance contractor with Serco Group PLC, through which he represents the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Throughout his career, he has managed federal grant applications for public assistance with FEMA and has accrued over 17 years of experience in his field. Mr. Harris holds a BS in retail management from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. After receiving his degree, he was recruited by FEMA to serve as deputy comptroller following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. From 1984 to 2010, he honorably served with the United States Army, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel prior to retiring. A decorated combat veteran, Mr. Hodges has been honored with numerous accolades and honors for his commitment and performance in the field, including a Combat Action Medal, a National Defense Service Medal and a Bronze Star Medal. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Hodges also pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Science in history from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1984 and a Master of Science in criminal justice from Troy University in 1989. Additionally, he completed doctoral coursework at Walden University. In his effort to inspire future generations and share his knowledge, Mr. Hodges has taken to volunteer service and writing in his retirement.
