314 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS With over 30 years of professional experience, Leola W. Williams has cultivated a career of excellence in the health care industry. Prior to retiring, she excelled as a registered nurse for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs for much of her career. She also worked as a nurse for several other organizations and institutions. As part of her retirement, Ms. Williams continues to serve her community in some capacity, primarily with the Heroes of Health program, which she utilizes to highlight members in her community who work to make a difference in health care. As part of her dedication to her fellow nursing professionals, Ms. Williams previously served as the president of the Local 3943 union. In her other entrepreneurial pursuits, she was the owner and founder of Stay Well Leola. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Williams has been honored with several accolades and honors, including a Humanitarian Award from The Nurses Hub and the DAISY Award from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2021. Additionally, she was recognized among the Women of Influence in Healthcare by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2022. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Williams pursued a formal education. After earning a bachelor’s degree at Central Texas College, she subsequently received an MSN from the University of Phoenix in 2005. Additionally, she holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity, which she earned in 2021. Prior to beginning her studies, Ms. Williams honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for several years. In accounting for her numerous accomplishments, Ms. Williams largely attributes her success to her upbringing, spirituality and the bond she shares with her grandmother. To this end, she is proud of all the work she has done in the field, having helped a myriad of patients throughout her career.
