Since 2021, she has served as the senior vice president of the Lower 48 of Hilcorp Energy Company. The independent company focuses on petroleum engineering and energy production by using efficient oil production processes and exploring the potential of natural gases. The company provides their innovative services throughout the United States, from Alaska to Texas. Ms. Jopling originally joined Hilcorp as an intern in 2004 at the onset of her career. Between 2004 and 2009, she took on a role as a reservoir engineer. Over the course of her tenure with the company, she also held positions as an operations engineer from 2009 to 2011, a reservoir engineer from 2011 to 2013, an asset team leader from 2013 to 2017, and a vice president and senior asset team leader from 2017 to 2021. Adjacent to her primary vocational interests, Ms. Jopling remains active in her community as a civic-minded citizen, serving as a board member for the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas, and for The Heritage Society Museum at Sam Houston Park, Texas. Furthermore, she is a member of the advisory council for the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where she previously earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering in 2004. The institution also recognized Ms. Jopling as a distinguished alumna in 2018. Well-regarded for her accomplishments, Ms. Jopling has been honored with several accolades over the course of her career, including a Women Who Mean Business Award from the Houston Business Journal in 2019 and a Breakthrough Women Award from the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce in 2022. In accounting for her achievements, she largely attributes her success to the support of her family and friends, as well as the unified business environment and culture at Hilcorp. In the coming years, she hopes to further assist in transforming the company into a premier energy provider in the United States.
